Mr. Federico is a Managing Director at Ocean Tomo. In this role, Mr. Federico focuses on IP Investment and Commercialization, Strategy and Fund initiatives. In addition, he is responsible for Ocean Tomo's new ventures and M&A activity. Previously, as Managing Director and Senior Advisor at Sterling Partners, he served as part of the Investment Team. He also developed the Accelerator program and was responsible for leading the firm's efforts in the development and deployment of the proprietary Business Value Accelerator (BVA) methodology, a series of firm-wide best practices and processes. Mr. Federico also worked with a number of Sterling portfolio investments to build, capture and maximize best-in-class practices across the network, along with instituting effective governance at the portfolio level. Prior to Sterling, Mr. Federico held senior roles at Fisher Scientific where he was VP and GM of Fisher Science Education, Millard Fillmore Health System where he served as Managing Director of their Consulting Group, The Science Kit Group where he served as Vice Chairman and at KPMG where he was a Senior Manager-in-Charge of the Upstate New York consulting practice. He provides Sound Harbor with strong middle market operational and strategy acumen, along with in-depth domain expertise in the education and health care sectors.
